Mayfest 2023 Touch Rugby Festival

We are excited to announce that this year’s Mayfest celebrations will see the arrival of an open classification Touch Rugby Festival!

If you haven’t heard of touch rugby before, it’s a non-contact version of rugby designed for all. By open classification, we mean that ANYONE over the age of 14 can get involved, no matter whether you’re a veteran or have never played before.

When is it?

Saturday 29th of April 2023 (start time 12:00)

Where is it?

Lenzie Rugby Club, Viewfield Avenue, Lenzie, G66 4RB

What is it?

It’s a touch rugby tournament. More information about the format will be provided nearer the event.

How can I take part?

Simple! Get together a team of your friends, family or colleagues and enter a team at mayfest23touch@gmail.com 

How many people do we need for a team?

Games will be six players per team, so at least that many! But you can have up to twelve players per team.

Is there a cost?

There is. £20 per player and in return you will receive:

• A team t-shirt
• Water provided.
• A meal voucher to be redeemed at one of the food stalls
• A Drinks voucher
• A great day out!

So what do I do next?

Get a group of your friends, and email mayfest23touch@gmail.com with:

• Your team name
• Number of players in your team
• T-Shirt sizes

And we’ll be in touch with further details of the event and how to pay the entry fee. Team entries will close on Sunday 16th of April.
